The City of Fritch is excited to announce a news series called "Reading the Sky" We're going to give you the tools and techniques that show you how to read the sky like a storm chaser. What is a severe thunderstorm?, what should we look for?, which way is the storm going?, is it intensifying or getting weaker? Each week we're going to show you examples of real thunderstorms, extreme hail, destructive wind events and tornadoes along with how they develop so you'll never again be caught off guard while boating or camping at Lake Meredith.
